What if a change in the code could change the world?

The Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is a centre that belongs to the CERCA system of the Generalitat de Catalunya, and that was established as a consortium of four institutions: the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA), the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and the University of Barcelona (UB).

The CRAG is a centre entirely dedicated to research in plant biology and agricultural sciences, from basic research in molecular biology of plants and farm animals, to the applications of molecular techniques for the genetic improvement of important species for agriculture and food production.

Collaborating closely with industry and leading national and international research staff and institutions, the 26 research groups of the CRAG, organised in four major programmes, work exploring a variety of approaches to address the challenges of 21st century agriculture.
