A cover of Jamiroquai's "Cosmic Girl" featuring drumkit video and footcam for extra detail.
The backing track is recorded and rebuilt from scratch so that I didn't have the issue of playing over the original drum track (by Derrick McKenzie) and a note for note transcription is available from the downloads page on my website. I have tried to be as faithful as possible to the original drum part. The trick to getting the right feel in this tune is down to the inflections and accents on the hihats. A very straight mechanical approach works well.
All instruments and vocals were recorded by drum teacher Chris Hempsall and his wife Liane, in his Surrey based teaching/recording studio.
