"They created the monster..." Stewart Dickson MLA on Brexit problems in Northern Ireland..

Stewart C Dickson is a member of the Northern Ireland Assembly representing East Antrim for the Alliance Party. The port of Larne is within his constituency. With reference to Brexit and the DUP and ERG, he remarks: "They created the monster, and now they want to deny the monster." He talks about the European Commission and their decision to invoke Article 16 and how it succeeded in angering all shades of political opinion in Northern Ireland. Stewart's sentiments are outspoken and unequivocal: "There's no such thing as a sensible Brexit and that's where the Alliance Party starts and finishes. We campaigned for Remain, and we are bitterly disappointed that we left. But we are where we are."
