How To Do Amazon Product Research For Wholesale FBA and Wholesale Dropshipping

Product research is the backbone to any successful Amazon business, for any business model. In this video, I am going to go over my EXACT product research method that I use for Wholesale FBA on Amazon as well as Wholesale Dropshipping.

For product research and anything else in my business, I like to keep it simple and repeatable. If it's simple then I can outsource it, and if it's repeatable I can continuously rely on it.
That is why I only use a select few tools in my business and keep my methods short and to the point.

Step 1: Ask you supplier if they can provide you with a price sheet.
The price sheet should be a list of all active items or the entire catalog. Make sure the product catalog includes at least the item identifier such as a UPC code, GTIN, or EAN and the Cost of the product.

Step 2: Scanning the product data sheet
Now that you’ve received the product sheet from your supplier, you can use Scan Unlimited to quickly scan the sheet and find those items on Amazon.

Step 3: Use Keepa for in depth Analysis
Keepa is an Amazon product research tool that lets you see important data like sales rank history and seller history. You can also see if Amazon has sold on the listing before and track the price of the item.

Step 4: Calculator and Sales Velocity
Use Jungle Scout to check the monthly sales and see how many sales the item gets. This way we can see if it's worth buying in bulk and how many units we would need.
