President Bola Tinubu releases shocking new list of 32 ambassador nominees including Reno Omokri, Femi Fani-Kayode, Mahmood Yakubu, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Okezie Ikpeazu & more.

President Bola Tinubu has unveiled a fresh list of 32 new ambassador nominees, following the first batch sent to the Senate last week. This new list includes some of the most well-known names in Nigerian politics, former governors, ministers, INEC leaders, and top public figures.

On the non-career ambassador list are big names such as:
- Reno Omokri – former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan
- Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) – former aviation minister
- Mahmood Yakubu – former INEC chairman
- Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi – former governor of Enugu
- Okezie Ikpeazu – former governor of Abia
- Senator Jimoh Ibrahim – businessman and senator
- Femi Pedro – former deputy governor of Lagos
- Erelu Adebayo – former Ekiti first lady
- Grace Bent – former senator
- Fatima Florence Ajimobi – former Oyo first lady
- Paul Adikwu – former ambassador to the Vatican
- Nkechi Ufochukwu – from Anambra

The career ambassador list includes trained diplomats and senior civil servants from Abia, Taraba, Adamawa, Kebbi, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Ogun, Edo, Niger, Katsina, Borno, Kaduna, Kwara, Osun, and more.

The Senate will now screen all nominees. If approved, they may be posted to key countries such as China, India, South Korea, Canada, Mexico, UAE, Qatar, South Africa, Kenya, or to permanent missions like the United Nations, UNESCO, and the African Union.
