The Vintage Text Effect You Keep Seeing — Here's How to Make It in FCP

I’ve been seeing this vintage text effect everywhere lately - glowy, jittery, slightly imperfect in the best way.

This video is directly inspired by a video from @aaronWORLDD where he shows how he creates this look in DaVinci Resolve. I wanted to recreate the same effect entirely inside Final Cut Pro using only native tools.

No third-party plugins. No paid templates.

I walk through the full build step by step so you understand the micro adjustments, then I’m also giving away the finished effect presets for free so you can just drag and drop them onto any text layer.

Free download link here: https://payhip.com/b/4ftKl
Or support the channel and download the $.99 title version here: https://payhip.com/b/ZCf5v

You’ll get:
• A white version with halation and chromatic aberration
• A color version with glow and texture

At the end of the video I show exactly where to place the presets so they show up in your Custom Effects folder.

If there’s a better or cleaner way to do this in FCP, drop it in the comments. Always down to learn.
