Making Ragnar Lothbrok's Axe from solid bronze * Vikings TV show * Casting a bronze axe

Well this has got to be my best casting video to date! As soon as i started watching Vikings (the TV show) i KNEW i must make Ragnar Lothbrok's axe. The TV show Vikings is just exquisitely shot and every person, prop and building is beautiful. I wanted to do Ragnar Lothbrok's axe justice so i try to do this one properly (for once!), it took a long time! After finding some nice shots of the show that show Ragnar Lothbrok holding the axe i managed to get some decent (i hope) dimensions and using images of official props i could fill in the gaps. In this video i cast Ragnar Lothbrok's Axe in solid bronze then polish it up and fit a handle and finish it off with some leather detailing. I've never attempted a prop before, and it was very interesting to try.
