Pleasing Pacu Fish

Pacus are native to tropical and subtropical South America. pacu have squarer, straighter teeth, which are uncannily similar to human teeth, and mainly feed on plant material and not flesh or scales. Additionally, the pacu can reach much larger sizes up to 1.08 m (3.5 ft) in total length and 40 kg (88 lb) in weight. Pacu fish is the largest characin representative in South America. The fish inhabits in the Amazon and Orinoco river basins. The fish is also called Gamitana, Giant Pacu, Tambaqui. It is a Peaceful fish, omnivorous and lives 20 years.
