Cardiac Surgery Simplified: Concomitant Tricuspid Repair
Dr. Steven Bolling is a specialist in mitral valve surgery at Michigan Medicine. In this video, after successfully completing a mitral valve repair, Dr. Bolling demonstrates how to repair a dilated tricuspid annulus using a sternotomy approach. He applies sutures around the tricuspid annulus to secure an annuloplasty ring to the tricuspid valve. This ring helps to strengthen the tricuspid valve and reduce tricuspid regurgitation. The video provides a step-by-step guide to the repair process.
