Whitney Hydraulic Punch - Custom Machined Aluminum & Steel Stripper Plate

The factory stripper was causing problems with thin material (1/4" and thinner) - the stripper posts were too far apart which caused the workpiece to bend when the punch retracted.

So I made my own stripper! The top half is aluminum which I machined and then turned on my new Emco V13 lathe. The ~2.8" OD, 16 TPI threads turned out beautiful!! The bottom half is steel and designed to be quickchange / replaceable.
