Being a proudly Canadian-based ensemble, our career has taken us to Montreal for numerous performances. It was with great pleasure that on one of our recent journeys there, we saw the entire side of a building enhanced with a towering Leonard Cohen mural. As many of the artists included on our upcoming album Canadiana are, Cohen is a Canadian icon who has influenced us greatly over the years. This melancholic song was an easy choice when we discussed what to include on Canadiana. If you don’t have a chance to visit Montreal, have somebody send you a letter from Canada with the well-deserved commemorative Leonard Cohen stamp and think back on an incredible legacy.
Hallelujah screamed out REUNION! This recording features the present and past members of the band. At first Chuck & Achilles, then Gene joins in along with Keith. Horns blend together with Jeff and Bernhard. Then the trumpets: Ronnie, Caleb, Brandon, Chris, Stuart, and Joe. If you’ve followed the Brass through its 5-plus decades this is sure to bring tears to your eyes!
