Our Senior Organ Scholar, Carolyn Craig, has won the 2020 Audience Prize for the Arthur Poister Scholarship Competition in Organ Playing. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes were not awarded this year due to Covid and to the inability to host competitors at a single organ or to ensure fairness in their recording conditions, so all three finalists are Arthur Poister Scholarship Competition Finalists this year and have the opportunity to compete again in future years. Carolyn is in her final year of her Master's in Organ Performance at Yale University, where she studies with Martin Jean. Before coming to Trinity, Carolyn was the organ scholar at Truro Cathedral in England; prior to that experience, she was a Wells Scholar at Indiana University, where she majored in Organ and minored in Conducting and German. A winner of the Regional Competition for Young Organists and various other competitions, she has been invited to play recitals throughout the US and abroad, from venues such as the Methuen Memorial Music Hall in the US to Truro, Winchester, and St. Paul's Cathedrals in the UK, among many others. As a pianist, Carolyn performed in Carnegie Hall as a winner of the American Protégé International Talent Competition. She has been heard on the Minnesota Public Radio program Pipedreams.
