A couple of tourists captured the spectacular sight of a sea of clouds rolling down a mountain in Novorossiysk on December 4.

The natural phenomenon is known as orographic clouds, forming when mountains force air upwards, and air cooling while rising. Water vapor in the air then condenses, forming the stunning rolling clouds.

Novorossiysk is known for its unpredictable weather, with the Black Sea port city experiencing strong winds, especially during the winter months.
