Jessica's wish to mee Leona Lewis

12 year old Jessica from Barley, Cambridgeshire is living with Hodgkin's Lymphoma; diagnosed soon after starting secondary school last September. After initial treatment in hospital she was able to return to school and continue as an outpatient with limited absence from lessons. Jessica lost her hair from the chemotherapy and gained weight due to steroid treatment.

With her appearance and confidence returning to normal, Jessica's mother contacted Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity to ask if they could fulfil her wish to meet Leona Lewis or enjoy a girly makeover. managed to combine Jessica's two wishes to create a dream day.

On Friday 24th September, Jessica, her parents and sister were collected from home and driven to Topshop in London's Oxford Street. Here the family were taken to the VIP area where they were met by a Rays of Sunshine wish coordinator, a personal shopper from the store and Leona Lewis. With Leona's help, Jessica selected a variety of new outfits to show off her new look.
