Altera CLI + Claude Code: AI-Powered Shopify Data Management

Altera has a CLI for Shopify imports and exports. Combine it with Claude Code and you get an AI agent that can read, transform, and update your store data all from the terminal.

In this video, we take a store with uncategorized products and show how Claude Code can handle everything:
- Exporting products to the Altera/Matrixify format
- Looking up the correct Shopify standard product categories
- Creating an import CSV, validating it and updating the products

The CLI tool also has a reference command which allows Claude to look up data like the categories, metaobject definitions and more.

This is just one example of what you can do, we've also seen:
- Automated translation pipelines
- Migrating metaobjects and definitions between stores
- Update SEO data automatically
