Martha Mier: 'Birmingham Blues' for piano
This is the final piece in Book 4 of 'Jazz, Rags and Blues'. It's a slow, minor blues and as with other pieces of this kind I made a few small alterations (changing the rhythm of the theme when it returns, altering the cadence at the end). Personally I think this is the kind of piece Martha Mier does best. Grade 6 level, I would say.
