Coronavirus: BC health officials provide update on latest COVID-19 numbers | LIVE

British Columbia's provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix are providing an update on the government's ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic on Monday afternoon.

On Friday, BC reported 223 new COVID-19 cases, as active cases in the province topped 2,000 for the first time. It was the third consecutive day B.C. reported more than 200 new daily cases.

Provincial health officials said the province’s death toll remained unchanged at 256.

The province has had 12,544 cases confirmed with 10,247 people having recovered since the pandemic began.

There are 75 COVID-19 cases in BC hospitals while 24 are in intensive care units.
