YOUR GOING GREY CHECKLIST

Hello everyone!

Happy New Year and welcome to a new decade and a new YOU! My niece, Vega, was visiting and she asked me if she could be in a video with me. Of course I said YES! She is a natural in front of the camera. After my last video I took a bit of a break to re-evaluate and reflect on how I felt about being silver (or rather, "showing" my silver, because I've BEEN silver for many, many years). I have to say that the outpouring of love and support from you all was overwhelming, inspiring, and much appreciated. We need to lift one another up when we're feeling down and sometimes going grey can be very difficult. It's not a vanity thing (or maybe it is, but that can be part of being a woman in our society) - it's more of a not feeling like ourselves thing at times. I can say that now when I look in the mirror I like who's smiling back. I have really begun to embrace the grey hair. Yes, it can be tough on those days where I'm exhausted, have just gotten back from a run and look like a hot mess, but overall, it is liberating.

Let's make 2020 a year where we boost one another up, regardless of whether or not we colour our hair, how we dress, the music we listen to, the people we find attractive, and so on. We're all unique and we need to be less judgemental and more accepting. I have said it before but 99% of the viewers/subscribers of my channel are the most uplifting, kind people I've ever met. Thanks for making this such a positive space for others to come and share their thoughts and ideas, and mostly, thanks for allowing me to share my own journey with you. I look forward to continuing as a YouTube creator for as long as there is interest.
