Historian Lynn Hyde discusses the role of Elizabeth Peabody's bookstore on West Street and its importance to the Boston literary world. Along with Henry David Thoreau, the store played an important part in the lives of Margaret Fuller, Nathaniel Hawthorne and Ralph Waldo Emerson.
