Colorful and beautiful tomatoes from the backyard edible garden
One of my favorite edibles to grow during summer season are the tomatoes. They just taste way better when homegrown, they are chemical-free and most varieties, especially the cherry-type and medium-size are very prolific. On this video are my colorful and beautiful tomato harvest.
Shakshouka for breakfast
One of my "go to" recipes when we have plenty of tomatoes ripening in the garden all at once, usually during mid to later summer. This is a dish from North Africa with eggs simmered in diced tomatoes, seasoned with salt and garnished with feta cheese and torn basil. The tomatoes and basil were freshly-picked from our backyard edible garden.
Kabob cooked in the air fryer
Lunch was shish kabob and ikbir cooked in the air fryer. Kabobs are ideally grilled, but can be conveniently cooked in the air fryer too. Cooking time usually takes about 10-15 minutes on the air fryer plus another 5 minutes with setting set on air broil.
