Building a Deck and Pergola - Attaching the Ledger Board to a Concrete Foundation

Our newest project starts off with building the deck and pergola framing. We are attaching the deck ledger to a concrete foundation. Typically a deck ledger is attached to the rim joist of the house, so there are a few things you do differently when attaching your deck to a concrete foundation.

With proper planning we were able to frame out both the deck and the pergola in just a day and a half!
