Patient evacuation with regular Bed Sheets versus Evacuation Sheets

Hospitals or care facilities that are not using any evacuation equipment will need to use bed sheets to move patients to a safe area. Using bed sheets can be require a lot of time, because many hands are needed to bring the patient from the bed to the floor. Using bed sheets, you might need 3 to 4 people to actually get the person from the bed mattress. In other words, it's pretty time-intensive to use bed sheets. And let's not forget that you usually don't have so many staff members available. Also, if bed sheets are a bit older and have been washed regularly, you may rip them apart once force is applied.

In the second part of the video you can see how an Evacuation Sheet is used to bring a patient to a safe area.
