Shocking Incident: Airplane's Emergency Door Rips Off During Flight

In the US, an airplane stopped takeoff after its emergency door ripped out in the air.
The incident happened on Alaska Airlines Flight 1282, flying from Portland to Ontario, California. The Boeing 737-8 MAX depressurized at an altitude of about 4.9 kilometers (16,000 feet) while gaining altitude. Because of this, the airplane had to return to the departure airport.

It turned out that the Boeing had an emergency door in the middle of the cabin that flew out. There was no one on the row where it was located (such seats are often sold more expensive because there is more legroom underneath). Therefore, no one was injured as a result of the incident.

The airplane on which the accident happened was handed over to the airline from the factory at the end of October 2023. He flew less than two months, writes the channel "Careful News".

Later Alaska Airlines confirmed the fact of an emergency landing, specifying that there were 171 passengers and six crew members on board. None of them were injured. Now the incident is being investigated by the airline itself, as well as the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board.
