Adobe Firefly Custom Models lets you train a reusable AI model based on your own creative assets, helping you generate images that feel more consistent with your brand, character, illustration style, or photographic direction.

In this hands-on tutorial, I test Custom Models using artwork by my mom, artist Xiang Li, including her Chinese panda watercolor collection and her intricate Chinese Empresses Collection. I compare character-based training with illustration-based training, walk through the upload and training process, and share what worked, what surprised me, and what still needs improvement while the feature is in beta.
