#CreateYourRevolution: Die Ziele der Revolution

#CreateYourRevolution will dazu beitragen, der Kultur den Stellenwert zurückzugeben, der ihr zusteht: Sie ist das Rückgrat unserer Gesellschaft, sie vermittelt Orientierung und Zugehörigkeit. Kultur stellt den Rahmen für interkulturellen Austausch, globale Interaktion und damit zur Gestaltung einer lebenswerten und hoffnungsvollen Zukunft. Selten war es so deutlich wie heute: Wir brauchen Kultur.

Denn die Welt, wie wir sie kennen, verändert sich. Globalisierung und Digitalisierung, Migrationsbewegungen und Klimawandel, das Erstarken nationalistischer und extremistischer Haltungen stellen die Weltgemeinschaft vor Herausforderungen von bisher unbekannten Dimensionen.

Und gleichzeitig erfüllt Kultur heute überwiegend Prestige- und Unterhaltungszwecke. Dass Kultur einen wesentlichen Beitrag leisten kann zur Verständigung – und damit zur Gestaltung einer hoffnungsvollen Zukunft – gerät in den Hintergrund. #CreateYourRevolution sucht neue Wege aus dieser Krise der Kultur.

Mit den Talks zu #CreateYourRevolution wollen wir die Debatte anstoßen, wollen wir Wege diskutieren, wie ein Umbruch gelingen kann.

#CreateYourRevolution aims to help restore the importance of culture. It is the backbone of our society. It gives us orientation, a sense of belonging. Culture provides a framework for intercultural exchange and global interaction, contributing to a future worth living and full of hope. Rarely has it been as clear as it is today: culture is indispensable.

The world as we know it is changing. Globalisation, digitisation, migration, climate change, the rise of nationalistic and extremist standpoints – these all pose challenges to the world community in hitherto unknown dimensions.

Amidst these changes, mainstream culture seems primarily focused on prestige and entertainment. When in fact culture can make a significant contribution to the formulation and creation of a more hopeful future. #CreateYourRevolution is looking for new ways out of this cultural crisis.

With our #CreateYourRevolution talks, we want to encourage debate and discuss ways in which we can achieve radical change.
