Una festa lunga un’intera giornata, per celebrare il 208° compleanno di Giuseppe Verdi domenica 10 ottobre 2020, che si aprirà con la Cerimonia in onore di Giuseppe Verdi presso il Monumento dedicato a Verdi e si concluderà con il Gala Verdiano al Teatro Regio di Parma.
La giornata di celebrazioni si aprirà alle ore 11.30 con la tradizionale Cerimonia in onore di Verdi, a Parma in Piazza della Pace presso il monumento a lui intitolato, che come ogni anno omaggia il Maestro sulle note del Va’, pensiero intonate dal Coro del Teatro Regio di Parma e dalla Corale Giuseppe Verdi diretti da Martino Faggiani e accompagnati alla tastiera dal Maestro Andrea Chinaglia. La cerimonia vedrà la partecipazione delle istituzioni, delle associazioni cittadine e dell’Associazione Viva Verdi di Norimberga, in un momento di incontro e condivisione gioiosa per l’immenso patrimonio che il Maestro ha offerto al mondo. Il canale Bicentenario Giuseppe Verdi non poteva non omaggiare il Maestro con questa esecuzione del Va Pensiero nella terra del Maestro.
