Planning Your Future: A Young Adult's Experience
For students with disabilities, the transition to life after high school can be a stressful experience. “Transition planning” and “transition services” are built into key education and workforce laws, such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), but students and families remark on the challenges of leaving high school and pursuing a college degree or credential or entering the workforce.
