Canon IXUS 132 Lens Error repair FAIL | A Time lapsed video on the dissassembly of the camera.

In this video,. i was trying to repair a faulty Canon IXUS 132 camera that is failing for Lens Error which is meant to be discarded. The lens of the camera is not able to retract. This is my first time disassembling an IXUS 132, so, i was figuring out as i go along.

Once i managed to get to the lens assembly, i try to open it up and check if anything gear is stuck.But after a few attempts to re-adjust the lens assembly, i discovered that i had accidently torn one of the flex cable on the lens assembly.

This repair is a fail!

Since I have no intention of spending money on parts, this camera will most likely be going into the recycling bin for sure.

While this repair process is not successful, i thought i might as well share out this video even though this is a failed repair. There might be someone out there who might be curious or needs to have a look at how to dissemble this same camera.
