First of all, i recorded the video directly on my Quest 2, (for convenience), so apologies for any image quality issues. I'm playing on an i5 14400F with 32gb RAM. My GPU is an RTX 5060. I was using Virtual Desktop to stream wirelessly to my headset.
Now, there has been a lot of talk about how the base game just doesn't stand up in today's modern VR landscape, and to a certain extent, that's totally true. Yes, it doesn't have the super-polished visuals of some VR games today, and yes, you don't have a full body rig, and again yes, there are certain parts of the game that could maybe use some little tweaks here and there, but for me, once i got used to the fiddly PIP-Boy controls, i was able to overlook the slightly dated visuals, (they don't look that bad IMO), and managed to have an absolute blast! I'm really enjoying the atmosphere, and how the game makes me feel. I just want to play more and more. Personally, i don't want to spend an absolute age fiddling about moving files, and waiting for stuff to download, (as i did with Skyrim...). If you can overlook some 'slightly' dated visuals, and some often touchy controls, (that you quickly get used to), you'll have an amazing time with this game. It doesn't necessarily need to be modded to death to make it playable, is all i'm saying.
