Middleton Railway Hunslet 150 Gala 18th July 2015
This gala celebrated the 150th anniversary of the Hunslet Engine Company, the world-famous producer of locomotives and other engineering products. The event featured visiting locos: No. 19 (from the Bo'ness and Kinniel Railway), No. 66 (from the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre) and 'Beatrice' (from the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway), as well as the home fleet: 7051 'John Alcock' and 'Courage/Sweet Pea'. However, the event also featured two narrow gauge engines 'Irish Mail' and 'Trangkil No. 4' running at the former Hunslet works site on Jack Lane. A shuttle bus ran from Moor Road to Jack Lane taking visitors to the site. There was also a model railway inside the Engine House
