Wall Hanging Epoxy Hourglass, with locally picked stones – Resin Art

Hi there!

I'd love to invite you to watch this video showing the making of the wall-hanging hourglass image. This is my second project with the “hourglass” concept (Reference to the previous movie: https://youtu.be/WmnA11eDUyA ).
This time, the coffee beans turn into stones. The table hangs on a wall instead and creates an illuminated image called “Time”.

These are the following stages of work:

Wood: Oak
1. Grinding, cleaning, brushing.

2. Coloring with rustic oak

3. Priming with epoxy resin with accelerated hardening

4. Formwork preparation using Plastglass https://www.biltema.no/bygg/platematerialer/plastglass/plastglass-2000030030

5. Placing the boards in the form and arranging stones in the shape of an hourglass interior.

6. Pouring the following layers of epoxy resin.

7. Removing the side walls of the formwork.

8. Sanding with 40-2000 sandpaper

9. Polishing using Fast Cut Plus 3M

Dimensions: 120 x 80 x 4,5 cm
