Ron Wyatt discussing the Ark of the Covenant (1985)

Here's a rare short video of Ron Wyatt talking about his efforts to bring out the Ark of the Covenant. In this March 1985 video by David Fasold, Ron is in the home of Ekrem Akurgal, the famous Turkish archaeologist who discovered among other things the evidence for the Hittite Empire. It's interesting to hear Ron tell the story about what's in the chamber in this March 1985 video and how he wants to go back that fall to bring out the ark with Jim Irwin. He also said at this point of time he had not open the stone box. We know from other meetings of his Ron said in May 1982 he had drilled a small hole into the side through the stone case and saw the gold sides of the ark box. Here is a transcript of this video:

“…And they covered it with animal skins and then put boards. Wood over that and then filled it full of rocks. And then they backed out and they shoved the piece that they had broken away to make to break the stone. And then there is an eye in the stone where they would put you know cords through to lower the big heavy thing down. And I’m quite certain that the ark of the covenant is in the big stone box. I wasn’t able to open it because there is about 18 inches of clearance in there and not enough and so they asked me to come back this fall [1985] and open it and get this out. And so Jim Irwin wants to go with me. And I have a letter from him here saying that he wants to do that…”
