- Sundial operates in all 3 segments of the cannabis market. The upstream which is the cultivation part. The midstream part which is the manufacturing and the the downstream part which is the retail
sales. It produces and distributes marijuana flowers, pre-rolls and vapes. It cultivates cannabis using an individualized “room” approach in a warehouse of half a million sq ft. It has supply agreements with 9
Canadian provinces and has a distribution market that covers 98% of the Canadian recreational cannabis mkt. It is the largest cannabis retailer in Canada with 180 locations. The company recently acquired
Nova cannabis which operates 71 stores. Sundial sells premium products as well as discounted products.

- This year the company acquired Alcanna for $346mn in an all stock deal. Alcanna operates 171 liquor stores. It trades on the TSX under ticker CLIQ. Its mkt cap is 300mn and its TTM revenue is 700mn. Alcanna owns 63% of Nova which operates 71 Cannabis retail stores. Nova trades on the TSX under ticker NOVC. Its mkt cap is 215mn and its TTM revenue is 62mn.

- Cannabis is legal on the federal level in Canada since 2018. It is completely legal in 18 US states and legal for medical use in 37 states but illegal under federal law. Legalizing cannabis at the federal level
would allow Sundial and its Canadian peers to enter the considerably more lucrative U.S. market.

- The company is headquartered in Calgary, AB, Canada and was founded in 2006

- It trades on the Nasdaq & Deutsche Borse
