Friedman BE100 Deluxe vs Jake E Lee JEL100 watt heads. A number of people have asked me the difference in sound between the BE & JEL heads, so here it is. Comparison of all channels, no talking just straight playing. Refer to the in video shot (during Bark at the Moon - 2m 6s mark)for gain and EQ settings.

BE100 is set to standard BE voicing for the sake of this comparison.

Both amps are biased to the same dissipation, and have EHX EL34s.

Good speakers or headphones recommended to hear the full differences between the amps, they do have similarities of course but are quite different.

The recording is raw, and does not have any post effects so the organics of the amps can be heard.
