How to communicate vision to employees

Stephan Thieringer, CEO of the Human Innovation Garage, has a lot to say about creating a compelling mission statement and values. He says it's the single best way to engage and motivate employees.

"What it really pulls down to is: what is my belief system?" says Thieringer. "And how do I explain, transmit, and communicate that with clarity, consistency, and discipline."

It's really simple- employees these days need much more than a paycheck and benefits. They need to understand the bigger goal they're battling for. They need to feel intrinsically attached to the business.
