Yesterday I got an email from Prize Pool announcing a new format for the prize drawings starting December 1, 2020 as well as hinting at some other changes within the structure of the sweepstakes. First of all, the way and the pace that we earn tickets is unchanged. For every dollar that you have deposited, you earn 1 ticket per day. The biggest change to the app is breaking up the prize giveaway into weekly increments! This is great news because instead of just watching tickets accrue for an entire month, we have chances to win each week.

Overall they are giving away the same overall prize total, $50,000. But it will be more interesting to stand the chance of winning 4 times instead of just once. The grand prize remains the same as well. $25,000 will be given away to one lucky user per month. Another element that is unchanged is the referral program. This is a pretty huge perk! For new users who sign up with someone's referral link/code, both the new user and the person referring get an extra 10% winnings! I already can confirm that this works because in October I signed up using another Youtuber's code. Then when I won $5 in a prize, I also won $0.50 in a referral bonus! That person whose code I used also got an extra $0.50. I think this makes sharing the app a lot more interesting!

The details of the winners-per-prize level have changed. Overall, Prize Pool has increased the number of "big" prize winners and also increased the number of people winning the smallest prize. So your odds of winning $100 or more have increased as well as your odds of winning the $2 prize. The middle-sized prizes will be given out a lot less frequently than before. This isn't a huge downside because even if you "only" win a $2 prize 3 times per month as an example, you would still walk away with a middle-sized prize overall.

The weekly prize drawings in December will be on the following dates: December 4, December 11, December 18, December 25! Merry Christmas to all, here's $25,000 for one person! The way these weekly drawings are designed, your odds of winning are best in the 4th and final weekly drawing. The first 3 weeks all have the same number of giveaways per prize level, but in that last week the number of all of the prizes given away increase and the biggest prizes become available!
Final tips:
1. Your deposit takes a few business days to settle, so don't expect tickets to start accruing immediately. Just start the process ASAP if you decide to use the app so you can have the most tickets and the best chances of winning!
2. DO NOT SIGN UP WITHOUT A REFERRAL CODE! Use mine, use your mom's, use anyone's! Just don't be silly and miss out on that extra 10% bonus!!
3. Prize Pool says to make sure and update your app before December 1 to get these new updates before the weekly drawings start!
4. The crazy and annoying new(?) rule for anyone winning over $600 in prize winnings either at 1 time or cumulatively: You will be sent up to 3 documents to sign and return to Prize Pool! So strange, but it's right there in the official rule so we be required to do it!
