Prisoner and Orin Swift | Napa Blends | Decants with D

In this episode D introduces the Orin Swift Cellars’ and the Prisoner Wine Company’s wine portfolios.
He then tastes the Prisoner Red Blend and Orin Swift’s popular red blend Machete.
Both are good, but D likes the Prisoner better and rates the 2016 a 4.6.
The Prisoner Red Blend is blended out of 5 different grapes, but the majority grape is Zinfandel. The wine also has some Cabernet, Shiraz and Petite Shiraz in it.
The Machete is a Shiraz, Petite Shiraz, Grenache and Malbec blend. D scores the 2017 a 4.2.
