Antony Starr Eyeing the role for Wolverine In The MCU

Wolverine has a place in many hearts for original comic book movie fans! Hugh Jackman portrayed the character in many of the X-Men films, and it's hard to see the role being portrayed by anyone else.

Jackman parted ways with the role with 2017’s very critically acclaimed ‘Logan’. And while many fans saw it as a very fitting ending for the character, there are certainly fans that would love to see him pick up the role as Wolverine once again! Since then, Jackman has stated that he wouldn't, and that the rights to the character have returned to Disney after the company purchased Fox. It is said that it will be a while before the role is recast, but Marvel Studios does want to introduce the character into the MCU.

Recently ‘The Boys' actor Antony Starr stated he's very interested in taking up the role! Starr has been on multiple fan-cast lists for the character, dating back to 2015!

Mark Salcido from Screen Geek was able to sit down with Starr and Aya Cash in an interview prior to the release of the second season of ‘The Boys’, and were able to pick his mind about playing Wolverine.

When asked about which X-Men character he’d like to play, he stated,

“I would say Wolverine!”
