MALAYSIAN BORNEO | Sarawak & Sabah

Malaysian Borneo is split up into three areas and we spent our time in two of those,
Sarawak in the west and Sabah in the east.

It’s hard to truly describe the wild and untamed nature of Borneo, the world’s third largest
island.

In #Sarawak, we used the city of Kuching as our home base and explored the lowland rain
forest by kayak, even making friends with a few inquisitive orangutans along the way.
Getting the opportunity to glimpse the rare and endangered #proboscis monkey in Bako
National Park was by far the highlight, along with the #Borneo bearded pig and silverback
monkeys.

#Sabah was where the adventure happened! In Kota Kinabalu, we paraglided, rafted
white waters, and scuba dived. Jumping off from Semporna, we traveled to Mabul where we
dove Sipadan, the only oceanic island in Malaysia and the centre of one of the richest
marine habitats in the world.
