Rumely 30-60 Run & Drive
A quick run with Pioneer Acres' own Rumely model 30-60. This iron behemoth tips the scales at a whopping 26,000lbs, carried about on it's 80 inch diameter drive wheels. Built by the Advance-Rumely company of La Porte, Indiana, the 30-60, or model E as it was called, was the firms largest and most powerful model when launched in 1910. Power is delivered from a horizontal two cylinder engine displacing a massive 1885 cubic inches (30.9 L) from a 10inch bore and a 12inch stroke. Horsepower ratings from Rumely where stated at 30 horsepower drawbar and 60 horsepower at the belt pulley, however Nebraska test number 8 conducted in April and May of 1920 found the E developed 49.9 drawbar and 60.2 pulley horsepower, but pulley horsepower could be pushed to 75.6 if the rated engine speed is exceeded. Production lasted from 1910 until 1923 with 8,224 tractors produced. Filmed at Pioneer Acres Museum of Irricana, Alberta.
