Heat Transfer Crash Course: Example exam problem: Convection on a flat plate
In this short video lecture, we solve a sample exam problem calculating the total heat transferred from a flat plate to air that flows over it. Topics covered include: calculating Reynolds number, calculating Nusselt number, using Nusselt number correlations for laminar, turbulent, and mixed flow, calculating the convection heat transfer coefficient, and local vs. average heat transfer coefficients.
