"CHIPPED" is my application project for the FH Salzburg in the field of MultiMediaArts. The project kept me busy for 3 months. 1 week of it went into the storyboard and the "blocking out" of the scenes in Blender. The modeling and texturing of the objects and characters, clothing coupled with animation and editing, took me a total of 2 weeks. The rest of the time was wasted due to lack of motivation or just fixing problems.
Since I wanted to dedicate myself to other projects, and didn't have enough money for a render farm, I rendered everything with Eevee except for the scene at the end.

▬ Basic idea ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
In 2020, Elon Musk introduced "Neural Link", a chip that could be implanted in the brain, which made it possible to determine whether a pig's nose had been touched or not. So in the future, this is supposed to act like a cell phone in the brain and warn of a possible heart attack and even play music. In my short film, I discuss how this technology would develop if chips were implanted in the mother's womb and the process of reproduction would be completely automated. Thus, any steps of infancy would also be obsolete, as the brain of the newborn would be completely controlled by the chip. Through this control, Elon Musk's fictional likeness "Egon Mulk" creates his own army of chip-controlled "baby soldiers" and can influence their functioning with the help of a switch.

▬ Admission interview ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Generally speaking, the intake interview is not that wild. If you have enough knowledge about computer animation itself, and can show that in the application. If you then have a few samples of your work to show that you are willing to acquire knowledge on your own. Those who interview you will usually let you know indirectly whether you will be accepted or not. The more convincing your application (animation film), the easier the interview will be for you. However, you should be interested in the 3D field, because nowadays you can't get around it, even if you make 2D films, see Disney.

"CHIPPED" ist mein Bewerbungsprojekt für die FH Salzburg im Bereich MultiMediaArts. Das Projekt hat mich 3 Monate beschäftigt. 1 Monat davon ist in das Storyboard und das "Blocking-out" der Szenen in Blender geflossen. Das modellieren und texturieren der Objekte und Charaktere und Kleidung hat mich gepaart mit Animation und Schnitt gesamt 2 Monate gekostet.
Da ich mich anderen Projekten widmen wollte, und nicht genug Geld für eine Renderfarm hatte, habe ich bis auf die Szene am Ende alles mit Eevee gerendert.

2020 stellte Elon Musk mit “Neural Link” einen im Gehirn implantierbaren Chip vor, mit dem es möglich war festzustellen ob die Nase eines Schweins berührt wurde oder nicht. Dies soll in Zukunft also wie ein Handy im Gehirn agieren und vor einem möglichen Herzinfarkt warnen und sogar Musik abspielen können. In meinem Kurzfilm wird thematisiert, wie sich diese Technologie entwickeln würde, wenn Chips schon im Bauch der Mutter implantiert werden würden, und der Ablauf der Reproduktion komplett automatisiert wird. So sind auch jegliche Schritte der Kindheit hinfällig, da das Gehirn der Neugeborenen komplett vom Chip gesteuert wird. Durch diese Kontrolle stellt das fiktionale Ebenbild Elon Musks “Egon Mulk” seine eigene Armee chipgesteuerter “Babysoldaten” auf und kann deren Funktionsweise mithilfe eines Schalters beeinflussen.

▬ Aufnahmegespräch ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Allgemein gesehen ist das Aufnahmegespräch nicht so wild. Wenn ihr genug Wissen über Computeranimation an sich habt, und dass auch in der Bewerbung zeigen könnt. Wenn ihr dann noch ein paar Arbeitsproben habt, mit denen ihr zeigt, dass ihr gewillt seid euch Wissen selbst anzugeignen. Diejenigen die mit dir das Gespräch führen werden dich normalerweise schon indirekt wissen lassen, ob du genommen wirst oder nicht. Je mehr deine Bewerbung (Animationsfilm) überzeugen konnte, desto leichter wird euch das Gespräch fallen. Ihr solltet allerdings Interesse für den 3D Bereich haben, da man heutzutage darum nicht mehr herumkommt, selbst wenn man 2D Filme macht, siehe Disney.
