Price Pfister Faucet Repair - How to fix a spout leak and modify the replacement cartridge assembly

A Price Pfister Model 49E bathroom faucet is leaking from the spout. This video covers the repair steps needed to fix he leak, and also covers the modifications to the replacement cartridge that are needed to prep the cartridge for installation.

The original valve cartridge is not available any more. A replacement cartridge is available but requires modifications depending on the old cartridge type that is in the faucet. The new cartridge has to be modified using a combination of parts from the old and new cartridge. This video covers the required cartridge modifications.

Note: The new retainer nut was not needed for the type cartridge
I had in the Model 49E. Some might need it, depending on the cartridge used in other faucets. I was able to reuse the original retainer nut.
