If you search the name “Kate” on Google, it’s likely Kate Gosselin will be a top suggestion. You may know her from her TLC show, “Jon and Kate Plus Eight,” or since her divorce, “Kate Plus Eight.”

Number Six: Bristol Palin.
During her mother’s ultra-conservative campaign for Vice Presidency, Bristol Palin originally became famous for her highly publicized teen pregnancy.

Number Five: Lauren Conrad.
Remember senior year of high school – prom, college apps, and studying to pass that AP class? Imagine instead if you spent it starring on a reality show. That’s how Lauren Conrad, or LC, became famous. By crushing on her HS BF Steve, dressing like a California beach babe and partying with friends on MTV’s “Laguna Beach”. Her fame eventually won her a reality spinoff series (“The Hills”), her own fashion line, and several best selling books, like “LA Candy” and “The Fame Game.” Impressive?

Number Four: Tila Tequila.
Being in someone’s Top 8 on MySpace used to be a big deal, imagine if it made you famous! Tila Nguyen, better known as Tila Tequila, rose to fame when she became the most popular account on MySpace. From there she became a model for “Playboy” and “Maxim” and starred in her own dating reality show, “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila.” She has also recorded two albums and written a book entitled “Hooking Up with Tila Tequila.”

Number Three: Farrah Abraham.
Who knew getting pregnant at sixteen years old was a career move? After she appeared on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant,” and the spinoff series, “Teen Mom,” Farrah Abraham hit the Hollywood jackpot. She was a guest on several talk shows, recorded an album, and wrote a New York Times best selling memoir. But that’s not all! She also, you guessed it, released a sex tape. This isn’t the same old story, though. Abraham couldn’t get enough of the spotlight and released a second sex tape comprised of unused footage from the first sex tape’s shoot. This proves the old Hollywood adage, “when losing ones momentum in fame, have no shame and release a sex tape!” She may not deserve her fame but she definitely deserves her spot on our list.
Number Two: Paris Hilton.
Remember that awful song, “Stars are Blind?” There’s no way that would’ve happened without having tons of money and attention, courtesy of Great-Grandaddy Hilton. Paris Hilton is a descendant of Conrad Hilton, the founder of worldwide hotel chain, Hilton Hotels. She likes to think she’s famous because of her teenage modeling career, but we all know she’s famous because of the hotels, and the sex tape “1 Night in Paris.” Somehow FOX was taken with Hilton and gave her a reality show alongside Nicole Richie. Being an heir to the Hilton family fortune certainly makes one famous, but let’s be real, we don’t hear about the other Hiltons. Maybe it’s because they never made sex tapes?
Number One: Kim Kardashian.
While all of the Kardashians deserve to be on the list, Kim tops them all. At first, Kardashian was known only by association: She is the daughter of Robert Kardashian, the attorney representing OJ Simpson, and she was the best friend of our Number Two, Paris Hilton. Eventually, she made a name for herself by (that’s right… a sex tape with ex-boyfriend Ray J. The rest is history as they say (literally… you can probably watch almost every moment of her life from then on with all the years that the Kardashian reality show has been on air. Now that she is married to God, I mean Kanye, we’re all in trouble…. I just hope they don’t release a sex tape anytime soon.

If you want to get famous quick, these ladies have laid out some very simple steps: if you’re female it seems as simple as getting yourself knocked up in a controversial way, making a sex tape with international distribution rights, or just being born with a lot of money. My advice for the female star want-to-be’s who have no talent or even less drive/determination to make it in Hollywood legitimately but still want to be famous; make a sex-tape about getting pregnant controversially! and try to come from a lot of money.. follow my advice and you too can be famous for absolutely no reason!
