Poha or Aval Mixture - Easy tea time snacks recipe
This is an easy tea time snack. We will take you through how to prepare this. Try it out

Ingredients
Aval / Poha - 200 grams
Thinly sliced pieces of coconut – 2 tbsp
Sliced garlic – 4
Fried gram – 3 tbsp
Fried peanuts – ½ cup
Split cashew nuts – 6
Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Asafoetida powder – ¼ tsp
Sugar – 2 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Coconut oil – 2 tbsp
Process
1. Heat a thick bottomed pan over medium flame
2. Now add 200 grams of poha / aval / beaten rice and roast this for 3 minutes
3. When it turns crispy, take it out and keep aside
4. In the same pan heat 2 tbsp of coconut oil
5. Now add 6 sliced garlic
6. Sauté this for sometime and add 2 tbsp of thinly sliced pieces of coconut
7. Sauté this for sometime and add 6 split cashew nuts
8. When it turns light brown add ½ cup of fried peanuts and 3 tbsp of fried gram
9. Sauté this for some time and reduce the flame
10. Add 1 tsp of red chili powder, ¼ tsp of asafoetida powder, ¼ tsp of turmeric powder and 2 tsp of sugar
11. Sauté this for a few seconds and add 1 tsp of salt and 2 sprigs of curry leaves
12. When the curry leaves turn crispy add the roasted poha / aval
13. Mix well and turn off the flame
14. Poha / Aval mixture is ready to serve. Allow it to cool and store it in an airtight container
