This almost didn’t happen 😳

I was at the Sakura Days festival to test out the new @viltroxofficial 35mm f/1.2 lens.

The light was starting to fade, so I was thinking about heading home…

But that’s when I spotted Sylvia standing in the sunlight, taking a photo.

The way the light was hitting her, she looked absolutely radiant - so I asked if I could take her portrait.

At first, she said no — totally fair. I always give people space to pass.

But once I showed her my project…

“Wait… I know you!” 😄

She said she saw my project back when I only had four videos!

She even mentioned Mariko and Kuma. She recently lost her own cat, Bella — who was 14 — so that one hit close to home. ❤️‍🩹

Once we got started, I couldn’t believe my eyes.

She was an ABSOLUTE natural. 🔥

I was SOOO glad that she said yes. Sylvia crushed it. 💪

Even though my food got swiped while this was happening (yes, actually), it was totally worth it.

Sometimes, you cross paths with the exact person you were meant to.
