CSF is formed primarily in ventricular choroid plexus.
Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is contained in the cavity that surrounds the brain in the skull and the spinal column. Choroid plexuses present in ventricles of the brain secrete it continuously at a rate of 500 ml/day.
Function:
a) It nourishes the tissues of the central nervous system.
b) It helps to protect the brain and spinal cord from injury.
c) It absorbs the waste of neuronal tissue.
