My secret weapon for effective advertising

Did you know photos are responsible for 85% of the attention your property advertisement gets?

An interview with my fave property photographer, Fiona Foxall of Fee Fox Foto, about why professional property photography is a key tool to getting more views and therefore more attendees at your property viewings.

What do clients say about the photos we get? "I'm worried it looks better than it really is - won't people be put off when they get there?" To which I say, "The whole point of advertising is to get people interested, great photos help do that. I doubt they will be put off, but if they are, that's better than them being put off before they even see the property". In reality, most landlords under-rate the appeal of their own property, or don't present it at it's best - fixing that is a large part of my job. The up-front work saves a lot of time and effort later.

What do tenants say about the properties when they see them in real life? "Wow, this property is great, how do I get to the top of the application list?". They are pre-sold the benefits of the property on the strength of the photos and advertising copy, so for many, turning up to see it is confirming their already strong interest, and to assess me, the property manager. That interest is solidified when they meet me at the property and feel they will enjoy working with me as their property manager (I'm sure the compliments I get about being open, honest, and friendly are not just a means to get me to put their applications first, but, hey, it does help me think I'll enjoy working with them too).
