Detective Pitcher Identifies S*rial K*ller's Van From a Single Bumper Fragment

Detective Chris Pitcher was handed a three-inch piece of broken fender — and somehow turned it into the exact make, model, AND color of a s*rial k*ller's getaway van. 🚐⁣

His captain sent a photo of the fragment to a narcotics officer known for his car knowledge. Within 15 minutes, that officer sent back a picture of a specific van — and it matched the suspect's vehicle almost perfectly. Same color, same everything.⁣

Pitcher himself admitted he was skeptical. He figured maybe a 50% chance the part even came from the suspect's vehicle, let alone that they'd ever track it down on camera. But after six hours of combing through CCTV footage and finding nothing, officers finally spotted a blackened silver Dodge conversion van with visible d*mage and missing pieces rolling right past an Office Max.⁣

They ran the plates. It was him.⁣

One tiny piece of a bumper. One car guy who knew his stuff. Six hours of footage. And just like that, the investigation into the m*rder of Michelle — a kind-hearted woman from Janesville, Wisconsin who had lost contact with her family after moving to Florida — cracked wide open.⁣

This is what real detective work looks like. #shorts
