Sinclair ZX Spectrum Plus 2A 128K refurbishment

I got a couple of non working Spectrum Plus 2 on ebay the other day and thought it would be fun to go through a basic refurbish on one of these guys.

Surprisingly these are built really well have suffer from few actual problems other than age.

I guess it's because by the time the plus 2A was on the market the basic design was almost a decade old, you can see by how few ICs are in the Plus 2A compared with the plus 2 or 48K.
